Banana Ice Cream

My stash of frozen bananas was starting to get a little out of control, so I decided to give banana ice cream a try. This is certainly no replacement for ice cream, but its a pretty tasty treat and its essentially just a bowl of fruit so no guilt required!!

Peel and slice 6-7 very ripe bananas. I had to thaw the frozen ones in order to do this easily. Freeze the slices for 2-3 hours.

Blend the frozen banana slices in a blender or food processor until smooth. Transfer to mixing bowl. Stir in 2 tablespoons peanut butter and 3 tablespoons cocoa. These are theĀ measurements I used, but they can be changed for taste preferences.

Stir in about a half cup of chocolate chips. Freeze for for 4-5 hours and enjoy!
